Latest Acquisitions From England

I've gotten a few big shipments of transferware from England recently.   I have found some beautiful treasures to offer in my shop...and some to keep, at least for a while =)   I am joining Etsy for a giveaway in a few days...one of these pieces will go to one of their blog readers.  Tune in Monday for that announcement...and for the video release!  In the meantime, here are some of my latest acquisitions.   Most of these are listed in my online shop, English Transferware, or they soon will be.

This is a rare, divided serving dish by Spode Copeland in the Camilla pattern.   This piece is one I've kept at home for some time.  I do that a lot.  I will come across a piece that I really like a lot and will display it or use it around my house for sometime before I ultimately decide to let it go to a new home.
You don't see this piece or this pattern in brown very often.

Aesthetic Movement soup plate.
I have two of these hanging in my guest bathroom.  Hmmm...I will have to show you all this sometime.  I love the birds!

Circa 1834-54 Ridgway Plate w/ romanticized ship scenes

Royal Doulton, two color transfer with hand painted color.  Isn't this perfectly romantic?  Feminine.  Charming. Cottage Chic.

Spode Byron... you know I heart this...

I have lots of turkey and historical themed wares in gorgeous colors like aubergine.

Transferware napkin rings are so hard to come by....these just sold to Sarah @ Hyacinths For The Soul.  They're on their way to you now!

Teal colored plates from the 1830-40's are hard to come by as well

I love unusual shaped pieces...do you recognize this shape from anyplace in blogland?    If you're here, then you should!

This coffee pot is so regal.  I love the shape.

This is an unusual and difficult to find biscuit barrel, circa 1895, complete with its original wicker carrying handle.

I know a lot of you will love this lidded box with a figural lid shaped like a resting cow.   I have one too!

I have gotten several pieces of Rural Scenes also.  I don't come across these tureens often at all.

or the larger platter from this pattern...especially in purple.

  1. Wow! This is a treasure trove of transfer ware! I have the four pieces that go to the Copeland Tower Pink Canterbury Set. Will you keep your eye open for the funky round tureen that goes in the middle and the wood lazy susan, please? Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

  10. These are all so lovely, Nancy, but the Spode Byron cup and saucer and the lidded box with the dear cow on top are my favorites. How can you ever part with any of them!
